"James has put me back together many times, reducing pain and restoring function and mobility when the demands of working in a physically active job (and neglecting to take care of oneself until it’s long overdue) take their toll. He always gently reminds me that I should know better! James has an amazing and extensive clinical knowledge of the human body yet manages to look beyond the physical when confronted with pain and dysfunction. I particularly value this holistic approach and thorough investigation into the underlying causes of the problems he is presented with. As a personal trainer and yoga teacher I have no hesitation in recommending James to my clients when the need arises and following treatment with him I have seen dramatic changes in others' wellbeing as well as my own."
"A fantastic clinic, both highly professional and friendly, with nothing appearing to be too much trouble. Pricing is the fairest I have found in London coupled with the high quality service and treatment that you receive. Would recommend to anyone asking and bi-weekly visits for sports massage with Nick have become an integral part of my Marathon Des Sables 2017 training/recovery plan."
"Annie has treated me for many years and I have always found her to be a very knowledgeable and skilled practitioner. I have also found her to be very friendly whilst maintaining an extremely professional manner. She will always discuss any procedure and ask for my permission before going ahead. Also Annie is very sensitive to my life style choices. Other practitioners may suggest I stop running; Annie helps me to keep running. In fact Annie was largely responsible for my 57 year old body being fit for the London Marathon last year."
"I can highly recommend Anja as an osteopath. I have several severe physical injuries to deal with and since Anja has been looking after me they have been much more bearable. Her knowledge of how the body works and why I am getting pain have been invaluable to me, especially since she fixes me every time I see her. I have seen a huge number of therapists and I cannot recommend Anja highly enough.”
"As and when necessary, I have been seeing Elaine for over two years now, and cannot recommend her enough. It has to be said I am probably not the best patient, and frequently manage to undo all her hard work, but never leave a session without feeling that I am “fixed”. She is very adept at looking beyond the obvious symptom and getting to the underlying problem."
"I have completed the last three London Marathons in about three hours each (in my late 50s) - only possible because of Steph's subtle, thoughtful mobility work."
"I was looked after by James Shanahan and he did a great job of fixing me. During my sessions, he'll get you to do some exercise regime, tailor made that will help him source and fix your aches, and also a massage towards the end of it. He also gives you an exercise regime to take home and to do them yourself in between visits. I'm quite the cynic, in my head I wasn't sure initially if they would benefit me at all but I was proved wrong. I feel the exercises helped not only to fix the problem then, but to also prevent it from happening in the future.
If you get James as your physio, you're in great hands!"
"For quite a few years I suffered from lower back pain which would come and go for long periods of time. It was very uncomfortable and sometimes extremely painful. Nothing I tried would alleviate it so I decided to visit Back to Back. The osteopaths and receptionists were very friendly and I was made to feel relaxed and welcome. The treatment was excellent and after just a few sessions, my back felt so much better and the pain did not return. I was also given very good advice about exercises to strengthen my back, posture and how best to organise my workspace to avoid further problems. Then last year I had a car accident and suffered whiplash to my neck and back. I returned to Back to Back and yet again, I am receiving excellent treatment and advice. I would highly recommend the clinic to anyone considering osteopathy."
