Elaine’s love for dance since childhood up to her BA (Hons) in dance theatre, directed her into a lifetime of studying and working in injury treatment and exercise conditioning.
Years of working as a personal trainer and studying with some of the best coaches in the business guided her towards using her favourite technique of ART for sports injuries. Then, wanting more and more knowledge and experience, she worked towards her master’s degree in osteopathy at the London School of Osteopathy.
Elaine is very passionate about the history and original principles of osteopathy and found she had a natural flair for a cranial approach to treatment. This was in addition to her personal aims of gym strength training, two extremes in many people’s eyes, but this variety, as well as treating babies of just days old right through every generation, is what Elaine loves about osteopathy.
After completing her master’s degree, Elaine did an additional post graduate qualification in paediatrics at The Osteopathic Centre for Children. The OCC is a dedicated children’s charity providing safe and effective treatment for perinatal women, babies and children. As well as working in the OCC’s clinics, Elaine also worked in NHS premature baby units and on hospital paediatric wards.
Elaine has always surrounded herself with family and friends’ children and babies, and working more with them to help them reach their health potential seemed like the ideal role for Elaine.
In 2019, Elaine reached an even bigger goal of hers by actually having her own baby. Consolidating all her learning, professional expertise and osteopathic passion, and fulfilling all of her life wishes.
Through studying, years of clinical practice, and now personal experience, Elaine highly recommends pre-and-post natal osteopathic treatment for mums, and for all new babies and children.
