Osteopathy for Runners
Whether you love a park run on a Saturday, are currently working your way through Couch to 5K or have been running marathons for years, Osteopathy can be hugely beneficial, both as a preventative measure and also to treat an injury or any niggles you encounter. With the London Marathon in October, training will be ramping up and this is a time when injuries occur.
In your appointment we will assess your biomechanics and your functional movement. We’ll then be able to use soft tissue massage along with joint manipulation to work on your areas of weakness. We will give you follow up stretches and exercises to do at home
Back to Back are a family run business who have been helping the locals in Earlsfield since 2001. Osteopathy aims to improve function and mobility to reduce pain as well as a preventative against ongoing issues. Our techniques involve a wide variety of gentle hands-on techniques, mobilisation, movement drills, exercise management and in some cases, medical acupuncture.
We have a variety of Osteopaths with different skill sets and experience to look at running injuries. If your injury is new and seems pretty simple it would be great to see any of our Osteopaths. But if you have been struggling for some time or have already seen a good number of people about your injury, it may be good to see James. He often uses 1080Map to assess his athletes if needed as this really digs deep into assessing why you may be suffering.
Appointment charges are based on who you see. Contact us today via the form to find out more information and to book in.
